Rtnn: A fire broke out at Gartex Garments Limited’s factory on Uttar Kattali Mostafa Hakim College Road in Chittagong on Wednesday morning, prompting six firefighting units to try to douse the blaze.

Chittagong Agrabad Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Abdul Harun Pasha said they received information about the fire at 10:20am. "Further details will be known when the fire is under control.”

Witness Mizanur Rahman said the flames sparked panic among the factory officials and workers.

Thousands of eager people gathered to watch the fire, he said, complaining that their presence was hampering firefighting efforts.
